“Spotify is paving the way in democratizing music, and in that process, some ethical constituents are more troubling and speculative than others.” – Kaira Villanueva
Kaira's essay touches on the evolution of Spotify, and ponders on the question of data privacy, which many software companies now use to cater to individual user needs.
Kaira Villanueva is at Columbia University concentrating on the intersection of user experiences and computer interfaces, specifically sound design. She enjoys engineering systems that enable healthy user habits and is an advocate for inclusive technology.
